CHRISTINA AGUILERA SINGS JOHN LENNON’S ‘MOTHER’

If you were wondering what Christina Aguilera sounds like with the flu, the answer is still pretty effing awesome. The pop star stopped by a party hosted by producer-musician Linda Perry in honor of her song “Hands of Love,” which is featured in the movie “Freeheld.”

“Hands of Love” was performed by Miley Cyrus in the movie and is currently in the running for an Oscar nomination in the best original song category, according to Billboard. Though Cyrus was unable to make it to the party, X-tina was there to give a stirring rendition of John Lennon’s 1970 song “Mother.”

“It was Christina Aguilera’s pipes that stole the show,” says Billboard. “Remarking that she had been suffering from the flu, Perry’s longtime friend and collaborator simply slayed on a sparse and powerful rendition of the John Lennon solo song, ‘Mother,’ which she called one of her ‘all-time favorites.'”
