David Guetta, Major Lazer, DJ Snake And Zedd Win At The Billboard Music Awards 2016

The 24th Billboard Music Awards took place on the May 22nd at Las Vegas. With three categories ‘Top Dance/Electronic Artist’, ‘Top Dance/Electronic Song’ and ‘Top Dance/Electronic Album’, dedicated to the electronic music genre at the Billboard Music Awards 2016, there were three separate winners. Not surprisingly all of them were EDM mainstays.

French DJ David Guetta was named as the Top Dance/Electronic Artist, against the likes of The Chainsmokers, DJ Snake, Major Lazer and Zedd.

Unsurprisingly, the award for the ‘Top Dance/Electronic Song’ was snatched by “Lean On“, co-created by Major Lazer, DJ Snake and MØ. The hit that has invoked life into the dullest of parties since the time of its release, has dominated most of 2015 and has several other accolades to its name.

The award for the ‘Top Dance/Electronic Album’ was adjudged to Zedd for his sophomore effort ‘True Colors‘, released last May by Interscope records.
